Productivity, tax and interest rates, Life Matters, Radio National, 1 February 2010

It's a big week for economic news: Wayne Swan releases the government's third intergenerational report today, the Reserve Bank seems set to increase interest rates tomorrow and the government's handling of the economy is sure to dominate question time when parliament sits tomorrow for the first time this year.

Also this month we should finally find out what's contained in the Henry Tax Review.

So let's hear from two economists with competing views - David Hetherington, from the progressive think tank Per Capita and Oliver Hartwich from the free market leaning Centre for Independent Studies.
